About: I started playing the cornet rather late in life.
In 1978 my wife and I tied the knot, but I soon discovered that, rather than spend the Thursday evening together, she went off to her regular Thursday evening orchestra rehearsal, leaving me on my own.
I tolerated this for a few weeks, but determined not to be outdone, I eventually decided to contact the orchestra's Director of Music, asking him if the orchestra was short of any instruments?
The instant response was... trumpets.
The following day I visited a local music shop and purchased my first trumpet.
Since then I have had/or am having fun playing in an assortment of bands, Harlow Brass being one, playing either trumpet or cornet.
Considering I was 31years old when I started, I feel I haven't done too badly.

Favourite Piece of Music: Film Music especially Hans Zimmer.
