About: I'm a relative newcomer to the world of brass bands, as I only started playing in my 40s. I was ferrying two of my children to Bishop's Stortford band practices and jobs, so the band lent me a baritone and books and suggested that I might as well learn to play. After playing with them for a few years I joined Harlow, where I'm very happy to play (and sometimes mime) 2nd baritone. If, when I was young, someone had told me I'd end up playing in a brass band I would have thought they were mad.

Favourite Piece of Music: possibly Barnard Castle for various reasons (including playing it with my children in the early days, and a great liking for the actual place!)
